Christmas in Evansville didn't quite start out like we thought. Sickness was among us by Monday:
- Kate with a virus.
- Kenzie with an ear infection.
- Tyler with possible pink eye.
- Ayden was a little horse.
- Mom has a sore throat.
That wasn't boding well for a nice family visit. We did still get to enjoy some time together. Mom and I put together some Big Wheels for the kiddos, who played most of the day in the basement. It was fun watching the "ride." We even had a visit from the Vances, who joined in on riding the Big Wheels.

The kids seemed to enjoy playing in the basement. We even found some of my old stuff, including this hat from my freshman year marching band uniform. Ayden wears it well!!

After we all had enough of the basement, the kiddos played some more upstairs. They are a noisy group of kiddos. They all have "Fonner" voices like their mamas, which means, there is no such thing as an indoor voice!!

Then the big kids got a bath and put on their matching Christmas jammies (pics below). If I can say so, these are the best looking kiddos!
We forgot to open a book on Sunday night, so I was going to have Jackson open two books on Monday night. Turns out we opened three books, so each of the big kids got to open one. That was okay, which means we open the last book on Christmas Eve, which does make a lot of sense. The books were, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Curious George. The big kids all sat together and listened to the stories. I love these babes!
On Christmas Eve morning, Audrey woke up around 5:25am. This is the longest she had slept so far. I think we are turning a corner here. We fed and then she was definitely not ready to go back to sleep. We stayed up for a little while, checking out the Christmas tree and putting out the presents for all the kiddos.
Then she went back down. I did not! Once all the kiddos were awake and everyone was cleaned up, we celebrated Christmas. We started by trying to take a few pictures of the kiddos in the jammies. This is the best we got!! (And unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of Kenzie and Audrey together (or with the other kids).
The boys even made silly faces. Lily was having nothing to do with silly faces!
There was SO much chaos. It was hard to keep up with who got what from whom. It was crazy noisy with 3 big excited kids, one almost big kid, and two babies. When it was all said and done, the kiddos had lots of new things to play with. Jackson got a lot of new games that he is very excited to play. Audrey even got some "girl toys!" (As Jackson puts it!)
Uncle Jason got a Chromebook (aka a new computer) and he CAN'T believe it!

We had another awesome meal prepped by my mama and managed to take a few family pictures.
And then we enjoyed the kids playing with their new toys until it was time to hit the road again. Piling everything and everyone back in the car, we headed back to Cincinnati.
