Last Christmas at 661.

We had a our last Christmas at 661 Sparrow Way before we left to make our rounds of visiting family.  We decided to open presents from Mom and Dad on the Sunday before we left -- this way, the kiddos would have an entire day to play with them before we headed out of town.  Daddy made breakfast, which was enjoyed by everyone (post mommy's workout!)  After we got it all cleaned up, we took the kiddos into the family room to open presents.  I was determined to make it last longer than 5 minutes of constant paper ripping and decided to have each child open one present at a time.  It didn't last long before Jackson's patience wore thin (mommy's too!)

Audrey wasn't sure what we were doing and wasn't thrilled that we were making her stay in the front room.  And Jackson was too busy playing Legos at first to even think about opening new stuff.

Oh, we are going to have Christmas right now?  Okay, we'll play along mama!  The kiddos finally put the Legos and phones down and decided to join us in the present opening.  (Too bad I don't have a picture of Joshua -- he wore the same t-shirt this year when we opened presents as he did last year.  We've decided that it should be a tradition from now on!)

Audrey got started on her first present and took FOREVER!  She did finally get it open and then was almost completely disinterested in opening anything else.

Jackson, on the other hand, was looking forward to tearing into his gifts.

And you will see a theme throughout Christmas this year with Jackson.  He was VERY into reading all the books he got for Christmas.
