After much debate, we decided to hit the road for Easter weekend and head to Cincinnati. It was a busy, busy weekend that started with Audrey upgrading from our cell phones and her ipod to Mamawk's iPad. She's a quick learner.
On Saturday morning, the kiddos baked cookies and died Easter eggs to give away. Jackson LOVES making cookies with the cookie cutters and sprinkles! Audrey got into to. I think both kiddos may have eaten some of the cookie dough. But who can blame them? It's sugar, eggs, flour and butter.... lots of butter. Dying eggs always gives just about gives me an ulcer. Jackson has his mama's clumsiness and I'm always sure that one of us is going wear a container full of colored vinegar water!! But we didn't and the eggs turned out great and Jackson had a blast. So it was all worth it!!
Easter morning we were busy getting things ready for the day. We totally missed church, but everything was ready on time and we had a really nice day to spend outside. The kiddos took a ride on the four wheeler before everyone showed up. Jackson no longer sits when he rides. I can't believe Josh was driving the big four wheeler at Jackson's age. Jackson then spent most of the day shooting hoops. He got really good over the weekend. I can't wait until we get moved into the new house so he can play at home too. He's so ready!!
The kiddos hunted for their Easter baskets and dove right into the goodies. And we ended the day hunting for dyed hard boiled eggs. Jackson found 26 eggs. Needless to say, we left all 26 behind when we got in the car to head home. Audrey slept through almost all of the Easter celebration. She's got a few teeth coming in and has been sleeping a lot!
