Fun in the Sun... I mean Snow

We got a little more snow overnight and decided that today, we were to going to go outside and build a snowman.  We got Jackson's snow overalls out and fortunately, they still fit (smart move getting a 3T last year so he could wear them more than once!)  He had no problems getting dressed, but he didn't want to wear his boots - even though mommy and daddy were wearing theirs.  I also bought these too big last year so he could wear them again this year.  Only, they were getting a little small.  Jackson complained about them for a minute, but I checked and he still had a little room in the shoes. So it wasn't that they were hurting him, he was just being his three-year-old self.

Once we got the shoes on, we were all set. Last year for Christmas, Mamawk and Papaw got Jackson this snowman kit - wooden buttons, eyes, nose, etc.  We didn't get to use it last year, but today was the day.  Only we got outside and all that pretty white snow was NOT packable. No snowman today.   Jackson was a little disappointed, but he quickly got over it and continued to play outside.  He ran around the yard and driveway, while Josh took care our driveway and three of our neighbors!  Yeah for the snow blower!

After Josh was done with the driveway, Jackson kept knocking the snow back onto it from the yard. He was "building a road."  He was laughing all the while, knowing that he was messing up all the work Josh did.

We had a fun morning in the snow, but all too quickly, my feet got cold and Josh was ready to go in.  Was Jackson?  Nope, not really.  We did tell him that we would play some more another day.  Hopefully the snow will be packable enough to make a snowman afterall.
