July... with a Side of Icecream

Time sure flies when you are busy playing outside, swimming in 8 inches of water and eating as much ice cream as possible! 

 

July started off just right.  Josh and I went shopping for a new bicycle for Jackson.  I'm not really sure if we were more excited or if he was more excited to get the bike.   After we shopped for the bike we took the kids to Bidingers for the first time.  We only lived in Wadsworth 9 years before we finally made it to this local ice cream establishment.  The kiddos sure thought it was tasty!

 

We spent more time outside in the month of July at the new house than we did in 9 years at the old house (or so it seems).  I got the kiddos (and myself) this little pool.  You could put approximately 8 inches of water in it.  Audrey and I loved it (I could literally lay down in it and take a nap!)  Jackson thought it was cool until we were invited to swim in the neighbors "real" pool, as Jackson puts it.  Audrey and still got our $25 worth out of it!

 

We played on the playground, finally got the basketball hoop installed, ate s'mores for the first time, soaked up the sun, played hopscotch, finally got to write on the dry erase wall in the playroom, rode bikes, played baseball, ate more ice cream, did yoga, had a jacuzzi bath with LOTS of bubbles, set off fire works, ate cheese at the grocery store, and so much more!  The kids also learned what French fries and Frosty tastes like!  Yum!

 

Audrey went down the slides at the playground all by herself, she finally started talking a lot more this month and her hair.  Oh my, her hair!  This girl has so much hair it's crazy.  It's starting to get long and lose some of the curl.  If only I was ready for her to get it cut, some of the curl would probably bounce back.

 

Jackson is growing like a weed.  He decided he wanted to help me work and even learned to use an adding machine.  The boy is too smart for his own good.  He started watching videos of how to make Legos and objects out of Play-doh.  He talks to his tablet to get Google to search for the right videos.  He even says "will you please" before he asks the tablet to do something. He's so polite.
